At first I tought this was just one of those compilation albums with old tracks and 1 new here and there that some artsts release, but boy oh boy was I very wrong. This album features fully remastered tracks in orchestral fashion and believe me when I say it is one of the most beautiful albums I have heard in a long time.

Tracks are the following:

1 - Legend of Mana ~Title Theme~ (Legend of Mana)
2 - Take The Offensive (Front Mission)
3 - Destati (Kingdom Hearts)
4 - Hometown Domina (Legend of Mana)
5 - The Birds Fly In The Sky, The Fish Swim In The River (Live A Live)
6 - To the Heroes of Old ~Opening Theme from HEROES of MANA~ (Heroes of Mana)
7 - Twinkle Twinkle Holidays (Kingdom Hearts II)
8 - Tango Appassionata ~The Way This Heart Is~ (Heroes of Mana)
9 - Earth Painting (Legend of Mana)
10 - Forgotten Wings (Live A Live)
11 - The 13th Anthology (Kingdom Hearts series)
12 - Manifold Irons (Front Mission)
13 - City of Flickering Destruction (Legend of Mana)
14 - The Other Promise (Kingdom Hearts series)
15 - The Tale Told by the Wind ~Ending Theme from HEROES of MANA~ (Heroes of Mana)
16 - Somnus (Final Fantasy Versus XIII)

Most will probably want to check this album only for the FFXIII Versus track (which is quite a great, tough short, track heard in the teaser trailers released so far, now this game's OST I will be looking foward to!), but the overall album is a must listen. I have always found the Legend of Mana soundtrack to be one of the best in videogame history and damn I almost cryed when I listened the arrangements here (*points to City of Flickering Destruction*).

Seriously people, get this album one way or the other... you won't regret it.

My only 'complain'?...

...

... WHY NO PARASITE EVE?! T_T

PS: Anyone know what "Live a Live" is?

Ohhhh! I didn't know she was doing music for FFXIII! Neato! I am a little dissapointed with the fact that there are barely any other tracks aside from the Mana series. But I am sure that the Mana tracks are pretty good. And yea...no Parasite Eve?

This album is indeed RIDICULOUSLY beautiful. Tracks 9 and 13 just blew my mind...and I'm not even done listening to the entire thing. Shimomura's always been underrated but this CD really does showcase her at some of her best.

I echo the "why no Parasite Eve" question, too, though. My only other complaint is that this album takes a lot of energy to listen to...it's so high-voltage awesome that there's no way to "half-listen" or work to it.

Oh, there ARE also some intonation problems on the second track but I'm wondering if that's just me hearing it i.e., my speakers totally suck or something. My speakers kept blown out by how loud I was turning it so lots of pitch bending...probably the speakers yah hehe

That sounds like an interesting mix. I really loved the Legend of Mana soundtrack. It really added a lot to the overall mood of the game.
