Kingdom Hearts 2 Soundtrack

Have you had the chance yet to hear the opening theme of Kingdom Hearts 2, Passion?

Um... yeah.

The whole soundtrack is fine, but about 50% of it is just the same as the first one, in fact, many of the tracks are practically the same ones from the first game's soundtrack, for example, One-Winged Angel is there, but it is just the same as the Final-Mix one, just add some more simple trumpet-like sounds. There are good tracks, the Passion song is rather nice and at least I like it more than Hikari. But overall.... it is just a nice soundtrack, but has nothing amazing, buy it if it is cheap or if you really liked the OST of the first game.

Thats disappointing that they dont revise some of the old music though....

I bought the single Passion to get the DVD of the wonderful music video - love the song to bits (see my review on the site for my gush over it lol). Im surprised to hear that KH2's OST just reuses the same songs again - its really put me off now....I think I'll wait for a bit and see...

Ok, maybe I exagerated when I said 50% of it was of reused tracks, maybe only 35%, but the other tracks sound like if you had already heard them before, most hold none originality to them and feel repetitive from the previous game's OST.

Maybe later I will post some samples, just so you know what I mean.
