Over the last few months, the members of [Select Start] (http://www.selectstartband.com) and I had been collaborating to create an arrangement of the tune Eternal Wind from Final Fantasy IIIJ. I think it's one of the overworld themes, but I don't know for certain. Anyways, we were creating this arrangement so we could enter in at [Dwelling of Duels] (http://dod.vgmix.com/), which we did on Janurary 12th, after 5 hours at a professional studio recording it. (There's photos somewhere...somewhere...) It was a great experience overall, topped off by the announcement that we got third place at Dwelling of Duels, which was just amazingly rewarding.

With consent of the band, I've posted the song below the yousendit link (which MAY expire in a few days...if it does, please let me know and I'll reupload it somewhere else...) or you can download it from the Dwelling of Duels mainpage.

For those interested, I am the violinist that plays the "Celtic" part. (I had been listening to "Celtic Moon" right before I went for a rehearsal back when we were still putting it together, so that spawned hehe...) The rest of the time, it's a bit hard to tell which one I am since the other violinist and I somehow managed to blend really well.

No matter how many times I listen to it, even though it's not ridiculously perfect in every manner and aspect, I still am very happy with what we accomplished. My favorite part is still at the very end, just after the "Celtic" part. Right after the main melody plays, there's a little bit where a violin (me) harmonizes with the piano, but then, if you listen really carefully, the other violinst and I switch voices. Neither of us picked that up until we heard the recording (She was actually improvising on her original part there.) The sweet and gentle coda also gets me every time.

I hope you all enjoy!

Heh, that was amazing. It seemed perfect for a final fantasy game. I love last two minutes of the song how it hypes up a bit and just seems like it was perfect to be there. I think your band deserved what you got. (maybe even better, I'd have to hear the other two songs that beat yours first.) Great Job. :D

Thanks! We're going to be performing it live for the first time on February 4th. It's really soon, so I'm praying it goes well....

The two songs that placed above ours were excellent. I thought they were both great and if you go to the Dwelling of Duels mainpage, all 3 songs are up for download.

Awesome tune, haven't got round to downloading the other tunes cause still stuck with dial up.

Do you play as a profession or hobby?

On your band's site, you and your friend's bio states you been playing your instruments for about 17 years, does that mean you started playing at a very early age?

Will you guys release a CD with your track?

Good luck in your live performance act and I'm sure you guys will do well on the day.
