What is your favorite soundtrack and why?

For me, it is the symphonic suite to princess mononke, mainly because of the overall feel of the score. This soundtrack adds a whol new meaning to the music, giving each piece a story to tell. Although there are only eight tracks on the cd itself, it was definitely worth the money i spent on it. My recommedation, if you want to buy it, wouold be to go to amazon.com and search for it, but dont buy it directly from amazon.com, use the "used and new" section, as you can almost always find it for less while still being originally shrink-wrapped.

I agree with you on the Princess Mononoke Soundtrack, but i would say Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind Soundtrack is my Favourite, because its a great ost that always reminds me of the Anime and the lessons that can be learned, some of the songs are beautifully done and well i just love it, though Princess Mononoke comes second because that also is a lovely soundtrack.

Tie between G-Darius OST and Border Down Vol.2 :eek:

G-Darius is just the epitome of experimentalism as far as VGM goes, while Border Down Vol.2 is just fille with catchy, catchy electro-jazz that I can't get enough of :luve:

For anime I would have to say Wolf's Rain soundtrack. I don't like the anime's story at all. But the music is what kept me watching. Valse de la Lune is my favorite song on the soundtrack. So if I had to pick one disk it would be disk 1.

I was trying to pick one game soundtrack that is my favroite but I can't pick one. For now I will just say Xenogears. It has the most entries on my Videogame Favorites winamp playlist.

Game Soundtrack - FF8, I love the mixture of love harmonys and upbeat symphonys

Film Soundtrack - Road To Perdition, as it is beautifully haunting and suits the mood of the film

Anime Soundtrack - Pokemon (I know i will put myself on my electricity rack at 500,000 volts) i dunno i just like the tunes there an adrenaline rush.
