No... lyrics... gah!
I cannot except that lyrical rock rendition of "To Zanarkand" :p. Plus, I came up with my own lyrics in my head for the original piano version.
"Man with the Machine Gun" sounds good thought.

Agreed. I had mixed feelings when I listened to that sample, tough the other one kind of pointed me that the whole soundtrack won't be like that... I hope...
Wanna-see arranged Black Mages style tracks:
~ "Messenger of Darkness" (Trance Kuja fight from FFIX)
~ Final Battle from FFIV
~ "Weapon Attack" from FFVII
~ "Altima ~ The Nice Body" from FFT (Tough not very probable since it originaly isn't by Nobuo, but I can dream can't I? ^_^)

"Messenger of Darkness" already has guitar in it :p.
Though so did "Still More Fighting", so I guess it doesnt matter.

Well as long as many of the songs don't include lyrics...becuase I really enjoyed the album because it reminded as if Dream Theater decided to play FF songs without their vocalist! Hopefully only a few will include them...but I'm looking forward to the album and Man With the Machine Gun did sound really good!

I finally found the complete tracklist for this:

Looks like a nice selection, though I am not sure on most of them... well, at least I hope not all are vocal like the Zanarkand one.

And FFV, predicably, gets the shaft. Assmunchers.
I am glad to see Zeromus and Hunter's Chance on there. A rock version of Vamo alla Flamenco will be interesting, though I can't imagine it being better than the original.
Now, the important question: What in the name of Nobou Uematsu is Winning the Rainbow?!
